Type: Dominican with an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper

This smoke opened up with a sugar sweetness, and touch of fruity flavors that made my palette do a happy dance. The cigar is about 3 years old and came from a Fuente holiday sampler. The remaining 2/3 were really good as well, not as much sweetness and character, so don’t let these age too long. Overall I throughly enjoyed it, and if you can smoke them at the right time (I’d say no more than 2 years old) they are box worthy for sure (almost Oasis if that flavor in the first third were to persist throughout).

I agree with the assessment from Stogie Guys:

“What you get for your money is an hour or more of pure pleasure. From the first view of the lovely blonde Connecticut wrapper to the final deposit in the ashtray, the Double Fuente is a medium-strength marvel. It also has the common characteristics of Fuente’s premium cigars: smooth, creamy smoke; blending that leaves no trace of harshness; attention to detail in presentation and construction; and an excellent burn. It’s the sort of smoke you can linger over, picking out flavors as you go along, or simply sit back and enjoy.”
