A detailed assessment of this cigar was done last year on Cigar Coop.

In 2012, Pete Johnson issued another exclusive cigar for sale at Tobacconists Association of America (TAA) retailers. The Tatuaje TAA 2012 would be the same blend as the TAA 2011, but would be longer and thinner. While the TAA 2011 was a good cigar, I found the Tatuaje TAA 2012 to be a great cigar.

The Tatuaje TAA 2012 delivers notes of pepper, coffee, cream, raw sugar, and dark chocolate. While this might sound like a spicy mocha java drink, there also was a nice earthy component that gave this cigar a real tobacco feel. I did find a year later, the blend mellowed a bit from a full strength, full-bodied smoke to one on the upper end of medium to full for both attributes.

The burn and draw were excellent. This is still very much a box-worthy cigar in my book.
