The CRAFT 2013 – La Campaña de Panamá Soberana represents the first release of RoMa Craft Tobac’s CRAFT line. This marks RoMa Craft Tobac’s launch into the limited edition game. The name La Campaña de Panamá Soberana comes from the church bells in the neighborhood of Panamá Soberana in Esteli Nicaragua – the city where RoMa Craft Tobac co-owner Skip Martin also is an owner with the Nica Sueño factory. The blend incorporates tobaccos from. It is also made without a cigar mold.
The CRAFT 2013 produces some great flavors – some of the best I’ve had by RoMa Craft. These flavors include mocha, pepper, natural tobacco, and wood. I felt this cigar had some firepower. The flavors were full-bodied and the strength also qualified for full in my book.
The shape of this cigar makes it what I term an “artesian” cigar. I admire the craftsmanship, but typically I have either a burn or draw issue. In this case, I found the burn to be a handful to start – the combination of the closed foot and decorative strips seemed to contribute. After I got past the decorate strips by the foot, this cigar burned fine. For a trumpet-shaped cigar, the draw impressed me.
Overall, this cigar should wow RoMa Craft fans. As for myself, this cigar is worth a box split in my book.
