This cigar was reviewed in-depth on Cigar Coop.

Back in February, Viaje President Andre Farkas was a guest on Episode 86 of Stogie Geeks and broke exclusive news that the Viaje Zombie 2014 release would feature a maduro blend. Given this has a black and red band, it has taken on the moniker “Red Label”. The Zombie series is one of the most limited releases by Viaje. Since the series was introduced in 2011 and each year has been released to a handful of retailers in small batches. This year it was only released to R. Field (Hawaii), The Cigar Republic (NY/CT), and Atlantic Cigar (online).

IMHO, this is the best Zombie release to date. This has notes of coffee, chocolate, natural tobacco, and red pepper. The notes are full-bodied weighing heavy on the pallet. There is also some considerable strength. This cigar starts out medium to full strength and progresses to full strength.

No Paul Syndrome issues of burn and draw. This one is a winner. It’s definitely box worthy.
