This was a collaborative review done with others on Blind Man’s Puff. All of the reviewers assessed this cigar unbanded. We did not know what the cigar was until the assessment was published. You can see the full review here.

Blind Man’s Puff is one of a kind review site. The team has established a sophisticated and comprehensive process for doing unbanded reviews. I personally had a lot of fun doing this. I had no idea it was the 1907 by Dunhill and for the most part my assessment came in right where I would have expected this to.

1907 by Dunhill Robusto Cigar

This was a new line introduced in 2014 by Dunhill. It was meant to add a medium offering into the Dunhill portfolio.

The flavor profile of this cigar was simple. It didn’t undergo a lot of radical flavor transitions, nor did it have a lot of nuances during the smoking experience. The earth, pepper, and cocoa flavors were good, but they did nothing to make this cigar standout. It still delivers a solid experience for people looking for simplicity. The flavors seemed a little deeper than I remember as I had tagged them as full-bodied for this review. The strength was also a little higher than I remember as I had this medium strong (medium to full in my book).

It’s a nice cigar to try. While it didn’t have me doing handstands, it did produce a nice smoke.
