The MBombay Kesara is one of four lines made by MBombay Cigars. The company was founded by Palm Beach retailer Mel Shah. He makes his cigars down in Costa Rica. The Kesara is is the line’s most premium offering. It comes in three sizes. Today we look at the Kesara Toro with a shagged foot.

This is a very complex blend with a lot of flavor transitions and flavor nuances. It delivers notes of cedar, natural tobacco, cream, grass, vanilla, pepper, and a slight fruit note. The grassy notes will have a bit of the evergreen flavor I tend to get from Peruvian tobacco. The will be some sweetness from the natural tobacco and fruit notes.

The cigar starts out mild to medium in strength and body and by the second half both attributes progress to medium.

For an unfinished (shagged) foot of almost an inch, not only did this deliver one of the better burns I have seen, but it was one of the smoother cigars I have seen.

This is a different offering, but a very satisfying one. If you like Davidoff, this is a cigar worth checking out. This is a box worthy cigar.
