The E.P. Carrillo Short Run 2015 is the sixth installment of E.P. Carrillo’s annual Short Run Series. The Short Run series is meant to be exactly what the name implies – a limited production run cigar with a different blend each year. For the most part, these releases have been one and done. The Short Run 2015 is different as it is the first time the company is introducing a cigar with a Nicaraguan (Jalapa) Criollo ’98 wrapper.

This cigar will delver notes of coffee, earth, cedar, and pepper. There also was a chocolate quality present along the way. The strength starts out medium and progresses to medium to full in the last third. The body is medium to full and goes to full in the last third.

This is a cigar you will want to retro-hale to get the full experience as well as the strength and body. While I don’t think this cigar will eclipse the 2010 to 2013 releases of the Short Run, it still is very nice cigar – and worth a fiver.
