When La Palina Cigars launched back in 2010, the first line released was the ultra-premium La Palina Family Series. This was a line produced out of the Graycliff Cigar Factory in Miami, Florida.  Last year, Paley decided to re-launch the Family Series out of the El Titan de Bronze factory in Miami, Florida – a factory where La Palina has had success with his La Palina Goldie and Mr. Sam lines. The La Palina Family Series would be rebranded as the La Palina Family Series Miami and feature an all new blend.  This week I took a look at the Pasha – the Churchill sized vitola with a brushed foot.

The new Pasha is available either in ten count boxes in cellophane or twenty count boxes where each cigar has individual coffin boxes.

The new La Palina Family Series Miami Pasha was an excellent cigar. It lacked some of the uniqueness of the original Family Series (i.e. the original had an interesting blackberry note I would pick up). Along the way the Pasha delivered a mix of natural tobacco, mixed fruit, caramel, cedar, and white pepper.  The cigar also was flavorful through the unfinished footer as well. This is a medium strength, medium-bodied smoke – slightly bolder than the original Pasha.

Overall, a pricey cigar ($18.50 per cigar, but $20.00 cigar if you want coffin).  However, it’s still a box worthy cigar.
