A detailed pre-release assessment of the JFR Junior Corojo was done on Cigar Coop.
Earlier this month, Casa Fernandez announced plans for a line extension to its JFR line of cigars for both the Corojo and Maduro lines. The 4 1/2 x 46 JFR Junior becomes the smallest vitola in this line. It also becomes the line’s sixth frontmark. The JFR line stands for “Just for Retailers” and is a line that was geared mostly to brick and mortars, although I have seen it on some internet sites.
I never found the JFR Corojo line to be the most complex, but always a flavorful one. The JFR Corojo delivers a nice corojo sweetness. It also has notes of black pepper, cream, and bread. The flavors are medium to full-bodied and are countered by medium to full strength.
The burn and draw performed extremely well. While I don’t give a Stogie Geeks/Cigar Coop rating to pre-releases, I can see this possibly being fiver quality once released.
