Wrapper: Brazilian Bahiano
Binder: Dominican Republic and Nicaragua

Country of Origin: Dominican Republic (PDR Cigars Factory)
Robusto: 5 x 52
Price: $10.00
This cigar was assessed in depth on Cigar Coop.
The La Palina Black Label marks the second project done between Bill Paley’s La Palina Cigars and Abe Flores PDR Cigars factory. This follows up the PDR-made La Palina Classic, had been launched at the 2012 IPCPR Trade Show. It is the seventh line in the La Palina portfolio.
Overall a real enjoyable cigar. This has none of cocoa, citrus, cedar sweet-spice,and white pepper. The cocoa is more prominent up front but the pepper, cedar and citrus play a more prominent role on the backend. This cigar had a great retro-hale as I also detected the notes of cocoa and cedar.
The notes are full-bodied and are quite robust. This had a slight case of Paul Syndrome on the burn as it required a little more maintenance than I would like, but its not bad burn. This is still worth a box split.
