Show Video: Episode 127
The Aquitaine Venus is one our four shop exclusive vitolas that make up the ten vitolas released in the Aquitaine line. This one is what is called a “petit salamones”. However this is no small salamones as it measures 6 1/2 x 56. It’s just a smaller version of this vitola.
This cigar is going to deliver notes of cedar, natural tobacco, coffee, and black pepper. I found this cigar to have a lot of transitions and you really seem to get the tapering effect of the salamones on this one. I found this to be in the wheelhouse strength-wise of most of the Aquitaine series – namely medium to full. Body-wise, perhaps this is slightly dialed back – also coming in at medium to full.
Overall I have been partial to the Aquitaine Blockhead – until Venus came along. This is box worthy and the belle of the ball.
