Cigar Coop Review: Hammer + Sickle Trademark Series Churchill (Formerly Hammer + Sickle Icon Series)
Show Video: Episode 139
The Hammer + Sickle Icon was recently rebranded the Hammer + Sickle Trademark series. The Icon was originally released in 2013 to offer a milder smoke using a U.S. Connecticut Shade wrapper.
This cigar definitely is mild. The strength opens in the mild range and moves to mild to medium in the second half. The body of this cigar is mild to medium progressing to medium in the second half. While the flavors aren’t heavy on the palate they definitely still hit the mark.
This cigar delivers cream, wood, pepper, and grass – along with a nice marshmallow sweetness. There was a slight pepper kick at the end. Overall a very satisfying cigar. The Churchill format stayed flavorful until the end. This is worth a box split.
