The New Wave short run was gifted to me, had plume all over it. It was really good, very sweet, very smooth.

This vintage short run was bought on Cigar Bid, a special for CI, supposed to be old, 60 ring too). It had some nice flavors, almost a citrus type sweetness and I really enjoyed this one too! I only paid $4.00 a stick for a 6.25×60! Here’s the story behind these:

To make a long story short, these handsome devils were slated to become the inital release by E.P. Carrillo 3 years ago. But at the time, it wasn’t quite what E.P. was looking for. (he’s a real stickler for perfection) Instead, they remained nestled in the aging rooms, marrying into delicious morsels. Once I sampled the cigars at hand, I bought the whole lot before thinking twice. At play you’ll find a gorgeous Ecuador Sumatra wrapper, concealing a long-filler core of Nicaraguan and Dominican tobaccos. Married over time, this extensively aged recipe is unlike any other of E.P. Carrillo’s creations to date. Remaining medium to full-bodied, the senses are greeted by a barrage of uber-smooth smoke, refined in character and highly enjoyable. A toasty tobacco core, mellowed by its long nap, complements hints of coffee, oak, leather, and cream before a semi-sweet finish. A once and done offering, these rare handmades are packaged in attractive 10-count boxes, bound to sell out in no time. Make haste my friends!

The winner? New Wave FTW! I have to say it was closer than I thought, the CI deal is a good find, and its from CI!
