Sotolongo Cigars has become a sixth brand under Christian Eiroa’s Fabricas Unidas. The line is named for Grace Sotolongo, who is a former employee for My Father Cigars who has come over to Fabricas Unidas. Hechicera (pronounced Echi-Sei-Rah) is the name of a sorceress who with her beauty and charm, captivates and enchants the affection of the people.

The Hechicera had some nice flavors. I found it to be a good mix of earth, white pepper, natural tobacco, and dried fruit. The flavors really stayed consistent throughout the smoking experience. The flavors were in the medium to full range (they had a little more robustness then I expected) and the strength was medium. The construction really was great with this cigar. The burn and draw were pretty much “set it and forget it”.

I would categorize this as anything revolutionary in terms of a Nicaraguan puro, but still has good flavors. It might be one to grow on me as well. It’s definitely a “Try One” and one to smoke to from time to time.
