A detailed pre-release assessment of this Cigar was done on Cigar Coop.

The Bold by Nish Patel is the second namesake cigar for Rocky Patel’s brother Nish, who has been playing in increased role in the operations of the company. In 2011, Nish released his first namesake cigar, Xen by Nish Patel. The Bold is being branded under the Patel Family brand – which also the Nimmy D, the namesake cigar of the Patel Brothers’ cousin, Nimish Desai.

The Bold has some nice flavors – and a flavor profile typical for a Connecticut Broadleaf. It has notes of espresso, dark chocolate, black cherry, and white pepper. I won’t say the Bold is the boldest cigar I’ve had, but I felt it had enough boldness to satisfy. The flavors are still enough to be full-bodied while the strength is medium to full. Overall, what might be bold to one, might not be bold to another.

There was some excellent construction. This was a nice cigar, and one of Rocky Patel’s better value-priced cigars. It’s worthy of a fiver in my book.
