There isn’t a lot of the Unnamed Reserve that has been disclosed. The cigar made its debut in 2012 in a 5 3/4 x 48 Toro. This year, there were two vitolas released in an all-new blend and the Toro is slightly fatter.

Mark Jr. and Stogie Santa had this cigar rated high as it finished in each of their top ten. It also came in #8 overall on our Stogie Geeks Composite Top 10 list. I’ve been repeatingly told the robusto is better, but if that’s the case, it must be really good because this toro was simply awesome.

This cigar has notes of black pepper, hay, and some excellent sweetness to it. The sweetness is a combination of caramel and natural tobacco. The notes are robust and full-bodied. The strength is medium to full.

I did have a little bit of an uneven burn and some flakiness early on. This corrected itself after the first third and the cigar turned out to be low maintenance. It is easily box worthy on this vitola alone, and this could be heading into Chuck Norris territory.
