The Ortega HeavyDuty is a new line by Ortega Premium Cigars that is geared at providing value-priced large ring gauge smokes. The line contains three 60 ring gauge offerings and three 70 ring gauge offerings. All of the cigars are priced below $7.00. Today I take a look at the 6 x 60.

This was not a complex cigar, but it still delivered some very good flavor. It delivers nut, pepper, and natural tobacco. While this cigar was advertised as full-bodied, it isn’t anywhere near that. This is a medium bodied smoke from start to finish. The strength is even dialed back – it starts out mild to medium and moves to medium. Eddie did tell me there is not a lot of ligero in this blend.

This cigar performed flawlessly in terms of burn and draw.

While it’s not complex and not full, it still delivers a pretty good smoke. I see a market for these. I rated these as a Fiver.
