A pre-release of this cigar was assessed in depth on Cigar Coop.

The Davidoff Winston Churchill is a revamped line by Davidoff Cigars that will make its way to retailers early this year. Late last year, Davidoff announced it was doing a complete makeover of its Winston Churchill line – namely from a branding, packaging, and blend standpoint.

The start of the Davidoff Winston Churchill delivered quite a variety of flavor right out of the gate. The cigar produced notes of natural tobacco, earth, a grass, and black pepper. There are also some suble notes of fruit and cocoa present. The natural tobacco takes control in the first third. The second third saw the cocoa and fruit become more prominent. The last third saw the fruit dial back with the cocoa and natural tobacco still in control. There also was a slight increase in spice at the end, but not overwhelming. The cigar itself delivered medium strength and medium body throughout the smoking experience

I always found the Winston Churchill line to lack a wow factor. This new incarnation brings some terrific harmonies of flavors and clearly brings something special to the table. Davidoff seems to have the midas touch lately and the Davidoff Winston Churchill is no exception.
