This is a cigar that was assessed in depth on Cigar Coop this week.

The Davidoff Golden Band Awards 2012 is a cigar that is a limited edition cigar that was awarded to the eleven retailers that were recipients of a 2012 Golden Band Award. These awards were given out at the 2012 IPCPR Trade Show.

This was not an overwhelmingly complex smoke. It definitely had the feel of a good quality Davidoff. I got notes of black pepper, grass, and natural tobacco sweetness. The flavors start out medium-bodied and increase to medium to full. The strength follows a similar pattern – starting out medium and progressing to medium to full. The burn and draw were excellent.

I would say if you like White Label, but want it a little more amp’d up, this would be a cigar for you. Overall, it was still a pretty good smoke and I’d rate it a Fiver.
