For the fifth year in a row, Viaje Cigars has released the Viaje Satori. It isintended to be an exclusive to those Viaje retailers attending the IPCPR Trade Show. This year, the 2014 release features a new twist. For the first time, the annual release featured four vitolas as the Viaje Satori 2014 Arya will introduce a 4 1/2 x 48 size vitola into the line.

I found the petite robusto format gave the Satori a little more of a gritty feel.This cigar had notes of coffee and earth like most of the Satoris. There was a little bit of a blackberry flavor, but it wasn’t quite as prevalent as some of the other Satoris. The strength and body are medium to full – progressing to full in the last third. This produced a little bit of a darker ash, but the burn and draw was fine.

While it wasn’t my favorite Satori, I still think this a good edition. I rate this one a fiver.
