I finally got around to smoking the Alec Bradley Fine & Rare. Released in November 2011, this one has been resting since Christmas in my humidor. Comprised of ten different tobaccos which include a double binder and seven (undisclosed) fillers, this stick was very limited and on the pricer side ($14.00). So what’s the verdict? The Fine and Rare is a work of art that took to the flame easily. It’s superior construction immediately became apparent with a sharp burn, perfect draw, and firm white ash. It was difficult to pick out all the flavors but I could detect lots of rich earth, leather, cedar, pepper, and a dried fruit. A good smoke, yes, a great smoke, maybe. 2.5 “Try One” if you have the chance.
