Stogie Santa was kind enough to send me some Curivari this week with my Ratzilla’s. The Seleccion Privada is blended with Cuban Seed Criollo and Corojo grown in Nicaragua. Available in both a Natural and Maduro. I smoked the 5 x 52 Robusto with the natural wrapper. Lot’s of wood, some sweetness, and a fair amount of spice on the retro. Curivari describes the profile as having some hints of vanilla which I could detect on the last third (the most enjoyable part of the smoke IMO). Medium in strength and body. The finish was medium in length. The construction was great and one thing I enjoyed about this cigar is it poured smoke. My conclusion: An easy going smoke that I would certainly revisit with coffee during the first half of the day. A “Fiver”, maybe two.
