The Viaje Exclusivo Robusto was released back in May of this year. I had given it a “Fiver” at the time with the side note that I though it had a lot of aging potential. After a couple months of rest I grabbed one last night, and “WOW”. Even a short couple of months has made a difference. The flavors have really come together and I could detect some additional hints of vanilla and floral notes that were hiding behind the youngness of the tobacco when released. This is not the first time, 2-3 months have done wonders for a release from Viaje. I am changing my original rating of “Fiver to “Box Worthy”. Unfortunately, I didn’t buy a box.
