7 X 47 Churchill

Blend: All tobacco from DPG owned farm in Esteli, Nicaragua harvested in 2009.  The seed varietals by percentage are 45% Nicaraguan Habano, 40% Criollo 98 and 15% Pelo de Oro.

I love the idea of this project by Pete Johnson.  It was intended to mimic the way that a single vineyard creates a yearly vintage in order to showcase the crop of that year.  Just like the wine there will be differences from year to year and that has been seen already.  This smoke is a beautiful traditional Churchill that had a very pungent smell on the wrapper of barnyard and sweet tobacco.  The flavors were a very well balanced pepper, sweetness, cedar and earth.  Box worthy all day.
