We have a detailed assessment on Cigar Coop of this cigar.
The Nestor Miranda Special Selection Exclusivo Regional is a limited, regional release. The cigar will only be offered to retailers in the Midwest. This cigar adds a San Andres wrapper to the Special Selection line. This is not the first San Andres wrapper to be used on a Nestor Miranda cigar – the Danno 2012 used it.
To me San Andres is a wrapper that is a little overrated. I find that the wrapper can be pungent at times. This is exactly the case with the Nestor Miranda Special Selection Exclusivo Regional. While there are flavors of espresso, coffee, cream, and citrus, the spice from this cigar was sharp and pungent. I will say, the construction was impeccable on this cigar – especially when it came to burn and draw.
If you like San Andres wrappers more consistently than I do, you probably will like this cigar. I’m wondering if age will settle down the pungent spice. I’m skeptical because the cigar had no “youngness” to it. On a side note, I thought this wrapper worked well with the Danno 2012. Since this was pre-release, I won’t rate it, but I’m inclined to think this is heading to “Try One”.
