This was a cigar I really enjoyed in 2012. It was one of the Altadis releases where they tried to get a little more “boutique” in terms of packaging and releases.
This was in my Top 15 back in 2012. The results of how this cigar does under aging have been inconsistent. Some of have smoked better than the others. This was one of the better smoking ones. When these smoke good, they smoke good. I detected notes of cocoa, earth, natural tobacco, grass, and some pepper. This cigar had a real smoothness to it. The cigar starts out medium to full in strength and body and progresses to full by the end.
While this particular smoke would score very well on a quantitative score, the inconsistency of this cigar and price point keeps this at a Box Split in my book overall.
