Wrapper: Connecticut Broadleaf
Binder: Ecuadorian Connecticut
Filler: Nicaraguan
Sparkplug: 4 x 50
Price: $6.25
The CAO Flathead Sparkplug is a line extension to the CAO Flathead line. This line was introduced back in 2013 as a series of Connecticut Broadleaf box-press releases with a theme of “Cigars, Cars and Girls.” Typical with CAO and General they go all out with the packaging – putting each cigar in an individual “Spark Plug” box.
I’ve actually been quite pleased with the CAO Flathead line. The flavors have a nice mix of mocha, espresso, black pepper, and a hint of nut. I’ve never found the Flathead to be the most complex cigar in terms of flavor transitions. The cigar is medium to full in strength and body. I found the construction to be excellent. I found the smaller size worked nice with this blend.
Overall I have this worthy of a five pack.
