This was gifted to be by Seth’s Humidor. It is part of the Bolivar’s line of regional releases that were exclusively targeted at various marks. Seth has a great breakdown of both the line and the history of the Bolivar brand in his review.
This was a great cigar and one that really suited this size. I picked up notes of black pepper, grass, toasted nut, and an interesting vanilla bean note. The flavors were medium-bodied, but I was a little taken by the strength of this cigar. I actually had it in the medium to full range for strength. Given this is at least seven years old, it surprised me. I actually felt the extra strength worked in favor.
Like Seth, I like Habanos Regional program and it adds an extra dimension to smoking a Habanos cigar. I gave this cigar a box split and it’s one I would easily smoke again.
