“Introducing the uber-rare Cohiba Edicion Diamante. Boasting a gorgeous 32-year old Cameroon wrapper from 1980, the Diamante is truly a rare specimen. Under the hood of this extensively aged leaf, awaits a proprietary core of aged Dominican Piloto Cubano long-fillers. Carefully crafted in the Dominican with the utmost attention to detail, each cigar booms with smooth savory flavors of cream, cedar, and natural sweetness all the way down to the nub. Although a tad pricey, the Diamante is definitely an indulgence worth partaking in…. while supplies last. “
In the end, this is somewhere between a try one and a fiver. The flavors were outstanding in the first third, then settled out and was not as exciting in the final half. It does the opposite of a Padron, it gets less exciting towards the end. Having said all that, I did like the cigar but wish it had a little more punch.
