TAA Belicoso: 5 x 52
The Padrón 1964 Anniversary Belicoso TAA Exclusive Natural is one of two cigars made by Padrón for the 2014 TAA Exclusive Series. These two Padrón exclusives represent two of the eight cigars made for the Tobacconist Association of America (TAA) in 2014. As is the case with the Padrón 1964 Anniversary line, the Padrón 1964 Anniversary Belicoso TAA Exclusive comes in a natural and a maduro offering. While the 2014 series has mostly been a disappointment the Padrón 1964 Anniversary Belicoso TAA Exclusive Maduro was a bright spot.
The Natural isn’t quite going to be at the level of its Maduro counterpart, but its still very good. This will deliver notes of natural tobacco sweetness, nut, coffee bean, and pepper. It did find a little more harshness at the end of this cigar. The strength and body start out medium and progress to medium to full. The burn of this cigar was excellent. It seemed to have a more open draw than I prefer for a box-press and this could be a reason why I got some harshness at the end.
Overall a good cigar. It’s still one of the better TAA releases. This is still worth getting a box split here.
