This was a gift from Seth at Seth’s Humidor.
This is a line with a lot of history. It was created back in 1845 by Ramon and Antonio Allones. Seth and I had been discussing how difficult it is to get a good Double Corona-sized cigar these days. He had highly recommended this, so I thought I would give it a try.
This cigar is loaded with flavor from start to finish. It delivers notes of sweet natural tobacco, earth, nuts, pepper. Two flavors that really stood out to me along the way were some orange and toast flavors. One thing that surprised me on how dialed back this cigar was. I had it as mild to medium for both strength and body for the duration of the cigar experience. This is a good case study for a cigar that has a flavor profile that works well for a mild to medium cigar.
This is an excellent cigar. It was a unique Double Corona – and it is certainly worth a box split.
