Hammer + Sickle Cigars has informed retailers that a limited production line extension is coming to their Berlin Wall Series. The Berlin Wall Celebration Short Corona is the fourth vitola in the line in the form of a 4 3/4 x 46 cigar. The launch of the Celebration Corona is meant to coincide with the 25th Anniversary that the Berlin Wall was torn down. This cigar is being sold in boxes as opposed to the marble boxes for the rest of the line. This is a limited run of 5,000 cigars sold in 20 count bundles.
I had smoked the Berlin Wall before, but to me the Corona is the vitola that really shines. It starts out with pepper, earth, and almost a prune-like sweetness. The sweetness becomes more pronounced and is almost berry like during the second third. There also is an underlying creamy component to this cigar. The flavors are medium to full and progress to full-bodied by the end. The strength starts out medium and progressing to medium to full.
Overall a real nice addition to the Berlin Wall line. Potential Belle of the Ball material.
