This cigar was recently assessed in depth on Cigar Coop.
The Debonaire Toro is one of two line extension introduced by Phil Zanghi and Debonaire Cigars in 2013.
The start to the Debonaire Toro provided a mix of black pepper, wood, and natural tobacco flavors. What I term the “smoked meat” taste starts to surface in the early stages on both the tongue and retro-hale. This reaches its apex at the midway point of the cigar. From time to time I also picked up a floral and cream note.
I definitely tasted more of the “smoky meat” flavor with the Toro – especially during the middle part of the cigar. The one difference I felt was it was a little more dialed back than the Sagita. I had this cigar at medium strength. It also starts out medium-bodied before progressing to medium to full in the second half.
I think the dialing back worked nicely here. This is another box worthy cigar by Debonaire.
