The Avo Limited Edition series is a favorite among cigar enthusiasts. The series was launched in 2001 and has followed each year with a different limited production release is done in a different size and a different blend. The releases are timed around brand ambassador Avo Uvezian’s birthday (March). Just prior to the 2014 IPCPR Trade Show a sampler of all of the releases (minus the 2005) called Avo’s Greatest Hits was announced.

Something just seems to be missing from this blend. It has notes of black pepper, chocolate, earth, and grass. However this wasn’t a case where the flavors meshed well in harmony. This version seemed more dialed back than 2012 as it was more of a medium strength, medium-bodied cigar.
No Paul Syndrome here, but I just couldn’t get a straight burn. It required more touch-ups than I prefer, but this was the same case as when i first smoked this two years ago. I rate this one a “Try One”.
