The Stuffed Turkey series was introduced in 2011 as a part of the experimental White Label Project (WLP) series. This brought a Gordo offering into the series. In 2012, the series was split into “White Meat” and “Dark Meat”. The Dark Meat introduced a maduro offering into the series while the White Meat was essentially a rebrand of the original Stuffed Turkey 2011. This past year, the line has been moved out of the WLP series and into its own line.
I wasn’t a big fan of the original 2011 White Meat version. I much preferred the 2012 version. While I skipped 2013, I found the 2014 to be the best one. The White Meat started out with notes of natural tobacco, tangy sweet-spice, and some cherry. The tangy sweet-spice was much more prominent in the first third. The second third saw more the tangy spice diminish and notes of earth and natural tobacco took center stage. The final third saw more classic pepper join the earth and natural tobacco. I found the White Meat to be a medium to full cigar in both strength and body from start to finish.
I wasn’t a big fan of the original 2011 White Meat version. I much preferred the 2012 version. While I skipped 2013, I found the 2014 to be the best one. This one is worth a fiver.
