The Pepper Cream Soda was one of the initial releases by the company known as Lost & Found cigars. The company was originally called Impromptu Cigars, then became Bellatto / Caldwell / Sears, and now Lost & Found Cigars. The company is a collaboration between Tony Bellatto of La Barba Cigars with Robert Caldwell and Jaclyn Sears from Caldwell Cigar Company. This is a separate venture by Caldwell and is actually distributed by Bellatto. The concept of the company is small batch:

“These cigars are a limited production of well aged cigars that Caldwell found while traveling through the Dominican Republic. I found them fascinating and we decided to share them with you. There is a very small quantity of them so enjoy them while they are around.”

The Pepper Cream Soda blend was originally released in 2014, but this year has come back in a Toro known as “Cream Machine”. While last year these cigars flew under the radar, this year Lost and Found Cigars is red hot.

This cigar had a unique flavor. It has notes of pepper – which is a cross between red pepper and jalapeño. It has some notes of a syrupy natural tobacco that coats the palate nicely. It also delivers some notes of graham cracker – and it has an interesting seltzer note that eventually does develop a creamy quality. The cigar is medium is pretty much medium strength and medium-bodied, but the body does pick up to medium to full by the end

While these cigars had been sitting a while, I found some additional aging in the humidor made this a real nice cigar. This one is definitely worth checking out and was a box worthy cigar in my book.
