Cigar Coop Review: Charlie Toraño Captiva Robusto
Show Video: Episode 138
This is the long awaited eponymous Charlie Toraño cigar. It was announced prior to the 2014 IPCPR Trade Show by Toraño Family Cigars. After General acquired, the release was delayed until this year.
I found this cigar delivered notes of natural tobacco, wood, and white pepper. The notes were medium to full bodied. The strength was medium before moving to medium to full in the second half.
This wasn’t a very exciting cigar. It didn’t have a lot of complexity. I also didn’t find these flavors meshed real well together. This cigar just seemed to be missing something. I rate it an angler.
