Blind Man’s Puff Review: Hammer + Sickle Hermitage No. 1 Churchill
I found this to deliver some very interesting flavors. There were notes of cocoa sweetness, earth, and a unique mix of black and green pepper. I found the cocoa notes prominent more early on, the cigar loses its sweetness along the way. It became more earthy and spicy toward the end.
The strength started out medium before going to medium to full in the last third. As for the body, it started out medium to full before going full-bodied in the last third.
This cigar was hindered by a crack and a meandering burn. At the same time, here were some nice flavors produced. I didn’t find this to be a complex cigar, but it did produce good flavors. This cigar’s flavor profile seemed to work well with the longer size and larger ring of this vitola. Some of the burn and construction issues did lose some points with this cigar. I’d be curious to smoke this again and see what the experience is
