EASTGREENWICH, R.I. – Regency Cigar Emporium announced that they are the first retailer of its kind in the country to accept cryptocurrency, allowing customers to purchase their wide array of cigars, humidors and accessories using cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin.
As Regency approaches its 25th anniversary this June, the local business is making its foray into the burgeoning cryptocurrency market. Customers using Regency’s online store or shopping in their retail location, can now choose cryptocurrency as a payment option, much like using any major credit card.
“We are proud to offer our customers the payment option of the future, cryptocurrency,” said Michael Correia, owner of Regency Cigar Emporium. “Cryptocurrency is here to stay, and has now been seamlessly integrated into our online store, making it even easier for our customers. In the coming years, there will be an explosion of crypto payments for online and local retailers – and we are now ahead of the curve.”
Regency offers an extensive selection of cigars, ranging from $4 to $500, at its retail store, online, and at its cigar bar, including some of the rarest and most sought after cigars on the market. Regency’s cigar bar offers spirit tastings and pairings from their wide array of scotch and whiskeys. The cigar bar also features a state-of-the-art ventilation system that circulates air throughout every three minutes, creating a safer experience for patrons during the pandemic.
