Stogie Geeks #344
Date: October 16, 2020
This week Drew, Nelson, Rick Lombardi, and Joe welcome Kevin Schweitzer, President and Sole Owner of the Vintage Rock-A-Feller Cigar Group!
In the Second Segment, we will have commentary on Cigar News with Stick Reviews.
Interview: Kevin Schweitzer | President & Owner of Vintage Rock-A-Feller Cigar Group
An adventurer by nature, Kevin is the type of executive who ‘thrives under pressure’; he has traveled to several countries deemed ‘dangerous’ and ‘high-risk’ to pursue and broker international sales of gold, silver, and other highly valuable and rare precious minerals.
Kevin, a cigar enthusiast for over 26 years, says the following:
“I am extremely excited about taking over Vintage Rockefeller Cigar Group and I look forward to guiding a company with a solid history to a new era of success. Right now, my vision is to grow the brand throughout the U.S. We really want to make a cigar that not only everyone can trust, but one that can be enjoyed across all walks of life. Everyone should feel like a Rockefeller!”

“The Band Man”- Every time I smoke a cigar, I have a ritual. Going in I look at the cigar, the construction, color, smell the foot, taste the cap, I gently caress it in my fingers. Then I cut it, most time it will be a Deep ‘V’. I then look at the band, I read it, I study the artwork and fonts of any symbols or numbers, I imagine the person rolling this cigar and then putting the finishing touch of the band… I collect the bands and keep them as gifts of appreciation from the Tobacco growers, and procurers of said cigar. I become one with this cigar, I toast it, I wait patiently for the filler, binder, wrapper to ignite, the first hint of aromas fly through the air like an Aaron Judge Home Run…. Beautiful.
