Toro: 6 x 54

The Oktoberfest Dunkel is the seventh installment of SmokeInn’s MicroBlend series. This cigar changes up the core Oktoberfest blend by adding a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper with a small strip of Connecticut Shade at the footer. This is meant to resemble a dark lager with a foamy head. I smoked a pre-release on Episode 77.
The cigar still does a great job at transitioning from the creamy Connecticut Shade part to the “coffee/classic maduro” portion of the Connecticut Broadleaf. The big difference here is the creamy undertone was not as prevalent on the Broadleaf portion as it was on the pre-release. There was a slight acidic note in the background as well. Both the strength and body is full. The construction is excellent.
This is still an excellent cigar, and it’s still a box split. The acidic note might have been a one off situation, because if it wasn’t there I’d say box worthy.
