(Pudgy) Frank: 5 5/8 x 49
This cigar was assessed in depth on Cigar Coop.
This was a case of saving the best for last. The original Tatuaje – The Frank is considered one of the most iconic blends out there. It was the cigar that started the whole Monsters craze for Tatuaje. While I have never smoked that original Monster, I have smoked the Little Monster Frank Jr. and now the Pudgy Monster Frank – and have been impressed by both.
The Pudgy Monster Frank delivers notes of espresso, mocha, earth, pepper, and nut. I found the Pudgy Monster Frank to offer a little less complexity than the Frank Jr., but the flavors more than made up for it. I found this to be a full-bodied and full strength cigar.
When I smoked Frank Jr., I found this to be a blend with some incredible aging potential. The Pudgy Monster Frank is ready to smoke now. It easily wins as the “belle of the ball” for the Pudgy Monsters series – meaning hands down the best cigar in the sampler. The great news is that it will even get better. Right now a box worthy cigar.
