The Hammer + Sickle LE14 is the third limited edition cigar to be released by Hammer + Sickle in 2014. This cigar joins the Berlin Wall Series Celebration Short Corona and the Hammer + Sickle Sochi Limited Edition 2014 (done for the Sochi Olympics) as the other limited editions by Hammer + Sickle this year. It is easy to draw a comparison between the LE14 and the Sochi. Both cigars have an undisclosed blend – and both were released in a 6 3/4 x 48 Churchill sized vitola.
The band is very unique in that it is in the shape of the Rabochiy i Kolkhoznitsa (Worker and Kolkhoz Woman) statue
The LE14 delivers notes of cream. natural tobacco, black pepper, toast, and dried fruit. The flavors are medium to full-bodied and the strength is medium I thought it had a little less complexity than the Sochi, but this is still a very good cigar.
The Hammer + Sickle Sochi is one of the best cigars I have smoked in 2014. While the LE14 didn’t have the complexity of the Sochi, it still was a very good cigar. It isn’t as hard to get as the Sochi and it will be the next best thing. This is a box worthy cigar.
