The Viaje Farmer Bill Hatchet is a new addition to Viaje’s seasonal release for the Thanksgiving season joining the Viaje Stuffed Turkey White Meat and Dark Meat releases (which have moved out of the White Label Project this year). Incorporating this addition, Viaje introduced a slogan that helped incorporate the cigar into the line. “How does Stuffed Turkey get to your table for Thanksgiving? Call in the hatchet man.”
Overall I’ve been quite pleased with Viaje’s consistency and quality over the past year. The Viaje Farmer Bill Hatchet is an example of that. The cigar has a woody flavor profile, but there are notes of cinnamon, pepper, cherry, and cream. It delivers a medium to full-bodied flavor profile. This isn’t an overpowering Viaje – it has medium strength that goes to medium to full in the second half.
These are a nice cigar. Viaje has been doing more cigars in the “medium” profile and this is another good example. This one is worth a box split.
