Wrapper: Ecuador Habano Oscuro
Binder: Unknown
Filler: Nicaraguan
Toro: 5 1/2 x 50 (box-press)
Price: $10.00
Back in December I smoked a Toro size of this, and I did some issues in terms of burn and harshness at the end. I decided to revisit this cigar – this time in a Robusto and was much more pleased with the results.
The flavors were much better defined this time around. I detected notes of coffee, earth, black pepper, prune sweetness, and hay. This isn’t a cigar that will do a lot of flavor transitions. The flavors have some depth and are full-bodied and this cigar has medium to full strength.
My experience this time around is more encouraging. Price point is a little high, but certainly a cigar I recommend trying one of.
